Hey Reader,
I wrote an email a couple of weeks ago about what's currently working for me with email marketing.
...but one BIG thing I completely failed to mention was how I grew my email list (which is currently sitting pretty at 3,325 subscribers)
so here are those details for you :)
HOW I'VE GROWN MY EMAIL LIST:
1. I have several opt-ins on my website where people subscribe to my email list. These are at the bottom of my website, on my resources page and in most of my blog posts.
The main ones people opt into are: Find Your Perfect Course Creation Platform Quiz, Money Making Subject Lines, and 7 Launch Mistakes.
I also have these pinned on Pinterest and share them regularly on social media too.
2. Each week I do a quick story slide on Instagram teasing what my email is about and I always get people who join. It's usually like 5 people, but hey that adds up to a lot of people over time!
3. BUNDLES - This one is a big one!
85% of my subscribers came from various bundles. This is where a bunch of biz owners get together and bundle their freebies or products into ONE thing that someone can purchase or opt into.
When I first realized I wanted to be a part of more bundles I had NO IDEA HOW TO ACTUALLY DO THAT so here are some tips on exactly what I did to find bundles:
Honestly Reader there are a lot of things I could be doing better with email.
I would love to create more opt-ins (and update my old ones too).
I want to do more email list swaps. Maybe experiment with ads?
There's still a lot on my email to-do list, but my best piece of advice is to just get started. Make one opt-in, get it live somewhere and let people start finding you.

Holy Moley Reader,I spent $22,530.97 in my business last year. Yep. Ouch - That’s the real number I pulled off of my spreadsheet. Honestly - this isn’t quite as bad as it sounds. $4,458.07 were fees from Paypal or Stripe which is just a part of doing business. About $5k of the contractor expenses were for a very specific one-time project I did for bigger corporate type of company where I needed to sub-contract out a specific piece of the project. It’s not something I typically do in my biz so...
Hey Reader, I finally published my income report for September 2024. 🎉 It's super late...I know. In case you didn't know I live in Tampa, Florida and was subjected to the torment of hurricane Milton. We're safe. Our home is safe. We didn't have any damage or flooding minus a few branches falling down, but we did lose power for 6 days. 📷 Pic of my baby wayfaring around our house in the dark with a lantern It's amazing how fast you start to go stir crazy with no power (and a 12 month old who...
Hey, there This email landed in my inbox on Monday 👇 About a year ago I set an intention that I wanted to be on more podcasts and in the last 365 days I've been featured on 34 different podcasts. ...which isn't too shabby considering I had a baby, went on maternity leave and kept up with a busy client work load during that time. The even crazier thing...I didn't pitch myself for any of the podcasts I was asked to be a guest on. 🤯 You should totally go listen to this podcast episode by the...
