Hey, there This email landed in my inbox on Monday 👇 About a year ago I set an intention that I wanted to be on more podcasts and in the last 365 days I've been featured on 34 different podcasts. I also personally love Elizabeth's Breakthrough Brand Podcast and have listened since 2019. -->Here's the link for Apple, Spotify. and Youtube. So how did I get booked on podcasts without pitching? 1. I showed up in the spaces I'm already in and consistently shared value. For me this looks like the communities I'm a part of for different courses I'm in or the software group on Facebook for Kajabi or ThriveCart. When I have time I answer people's questions. I don't pitch myself. I don't spam my services. I just do what I can to help and people remember that. 2. I told business friends my goal to be on more podcasts. If they saw someone who was looking for guests they sometimes shared my name! 3. When I was on a podcast I prepped for the interview, asked what would be helpful for that person's podcast audience and did my best to show up as a quality guest. 4. When the episode came out I shared it with my audience! This showed people that I was actively taking on interviews AND that I would promote the episode too. PS. One final thing here - as part of my episode on The Breakthrough Brand Podcast I'm giving away a free digital product strategy call. These normally cost $350 and my availability for them is super limited. |

Income: $9,510.35Expenses: $4,627.14 This was a much higher expense month than usual for me, but every dollar did have a reason. Some of the bigger ones: → $1,300 to my accountant to handle our business and personal taxes. Worth every cent, especially because we’re getting a refund this year. The last time that happened was 2018, when I still had a W2 job. Wild. →...
Hey Reader, My life and business situation is a little weird. Not weird to me…but every time I explain it to people, they get this look on their face like they're trying to figure out if what I just said is actually possible. When we bought our house last year, our mortgage lender told us our case was one of a kind. → Here's why. I've been the primary income for our family since 2020. My husband stays home with our kids. The mortgage. The groceries. Vacations. My business carries the...
Hey Reader, I had four different ideas for this email… and couldn’t pick just one. So here’s a hodgepodge of things I think you might like: 1. This video about people using AI to write emails. It spirals into chaos by the end and will probably make you laugh. 2. I open this website when I need to stop procrastinating3. I’m speaking at the Courses + Memberships Summit* this week (tickets are free) I’m excited for Laura Robinson’s talk about what happened when she added a high-touch option to...
