Hey Reader, Yesterday I sat in a quiet room by myself for four hours. No kids. No client calls and no one needing a single thing from me. It was GLORIOUS. May was pretty nonstop for me. I started the month at Disney, so I was offline that whole first week.
…and the one I still can't believe: my parents moved near me. I haven't lived within 1,000 miles of my parents in 13 years. This is HUGE. No more cross-country travel to see them, and for the first time, real help backup support with the kids when things get chaotic. So yeah, May was a lot of wonderful stuff, but by the time I dropped into my office chair yesterday, I think my capacity had just finally fully run out and officially hit 0%. But then I had four hours alone, and I used them well. I brain-dumped every single thing on my plate, looked at my goals for the year, and realized half of them don't fit anymore. So I didn't just reset my brain yesterday. I reset my goals for the rest of the year too. But first, the money. May’s Income: $9,923.68 If you read last month's recap, you might remember I threw myself a small pity party about my revenue feeling sideways and upside down and backwards. Well. It went up! Affiliate income was higher than usual, and I ran one of my bigger client launches of the year. Normally this is where I'd walk you through my five yearly goals one by one. Not this month. Half of them don't fit anymore, so between now and the end of the year I'm doubling down on three things. 1). Hosting the Black Friday Summit (August 25-27). 2). Launching my own program on the flash sale strategy I'm using to 10x client revenue. 3). Showing up consistently right here to this email list. My client work is the best it's ever been right now. Cool people, amazing projects and I'm fully booked through at least December. Anyway that's where I'm at right now. We're basically at the halfway point of the year (July 2nd, to be exact), and I've made $49,052.37 so far. A little behind last year's pace, but in my defense, last year I had one kid instead of two. I'm heading into this week feeling refreshed and a little inspired, and I hope you are too, Reader. ❤️ Mara
