$124k buys a lot of groceries

Hey Reader,

My life and business situation is a little weird.

Not weird to me…but every time I explain it to people, they get this look on their face like they're trying to figure out if what I just said is actually possible.

When we bought our house last year, our mortgage lender told us our case was one of a kind.

Here's why.

I've been the primary income for our family since 2020. My husband stays home with our kids.

The mortgage. The groceries. Vacations. My business carries the financial weight of it all.

Last year, I made $124,499.36.

Not my biggest year ever. But definitely the most meaningful one.

Because I look at that number and I know exactly what it covers. I know what it makes possible. I know what my family's day-to-day life looks like because of it.

And I don't see that number talked about enough online.

Because online it's all multi-6 figures, million dollar launches, "scaling." It's the highlight reel version of success.

But this, a business that actually works, that supports your family, that gives you real flexibility, this is the part that changes your life.

I also want to be honest with you though.

It still feels harder than I expected sometimes.

Some months are easy. Some feel slow and heavy.

Lately I've been sitting with this realization: getting to 6 figures and growing past it are two completely different games.

More effort isn't the answer anymore.

It's better systems. Better structure. Knowing what actually moves things forward instead of just keeping things running.

This is stuff I'm learning in real time right now.

It's also why I wanted to tell you about this.

It's a free bundle called the 6 to 7 Figure Playbook, put together by Allison Hardy and Belinda Rosenblum…and it's packed with resources specifically for people who are already making money but want to make a whole lot more of it.

If that’s you…YAY - it’s me too!

I contributed something to it too. It's called Behind-The-Scenes of Six-Figure Money, and it's exactly what it sounds like: the real numbers, the real systems, and the real lessons from building a six-figure business. The stuff I actually wish someone had shown me.

If any part of what I shared in this email resonated with you, I think you'll find a lot inside this bundle.

It's free, but only available until April 10th.

If you do grab the bundle (which again...is free!), email me a screenshot of the thank you page or forward me your confirmation email and I'll send you a quick Loom video walking you through my actual business bookkeeping spreadsheet. The exact one I use to track everything in my business.

So far this year I've made $24,047.41. You'll see exactly where it's all coming from.

Just send it to mara@marakucirek.com and I'll get it over to you.

P.S. We have a two year old and a five month old.

I work 8 to 4 most days. My husband wrangles both kids all day long.

I have my own opinion about who has the harder job…but I’m curious what you think the answer is Reader?

Hey Reader, $9,510, my weird new $100 hotel habit… and hitting a BIG goal way ahead of schedule. Here’s the full recap from March. Income: $9,510.35Expenses: $4,627.14 This was a much higher expense month than usual for me, but every dollar did have a reason. Some of the bigger ones: → $1,300 to my accountant to handle our business and personal taxes. Worth every cent, especially because we’re getting a refund this year. The last time that happened was 2018, when I still had a W2 job. Wild. →...

Hey Reader, I had four different ideas for this email… and couldn’t pick just one. So here’s a hodgepodge of things I think you might like: 1. This video about people using AI to write emails. It spirals into chaos by the end and will probably make you laugh. 2. I open this website when I need to stop procrastinating3. I’m speaking at the Courses + Memberships Summit* this week (tickets are free) I’m excited for Laura Robinson’s talk about what happened when she added a high-touch option to...

Hey Reader, February taught me TWO things. 1. Rolling babies cause chaos. 2. And public accountability works! One of these kept me awake at 2am. The other is the reason I finally started making real progress on one of my big goals for 2026. Here's a full recap of my February! Income: $7,752.68Expenses: $1,588.53 All of my money this month came from one-to-one client work.Mostly retainer clients that I work with month after month. No affiliate income. No digital product sales. Just good...
